May 2026: Thirlwall Inquiry report delayed to at least September 2026 · six-baby inquests relisted to 2027 · CCRC review active · Shoo Lee Panel: no medical evidence of deliberate harm.
Outcome: Survived
Gestation: Twin sister of Child A
Sensitivity note: court-imposed lifelong anonymity covers every family. We use the court-assigned code only. See our families and witnesses sensitivity policy.
Air embolism attempt.
Method alleged: Deliberate administration of air via an IV line.
Prosecution experts: Dr Dewi Evans; Dr Sandie Bohin.
Panel: deterioration consistent with the known instability of a surviving preterm twin after sibling death.
No fatal outcome — no post-mortem available. Clinical record documents a collapse event requiring resuscitation followed by full recovery. Non-specific skin mottling noted at the time of the deterioration. No physical evidence of air embolism (no intravascular gas, no embolism-associated organ findings). The deterioration is consistent with surviving-twin instability in the 24 hours after a co-twin's death, a well-documented clinical pattern in the UK preterm-twin literature.
