Lucy Letby Facts is a public-interest resource. We publish summaries, catalogues and indexes of the Thirlwall Inquiry record, the February 2025 International Expert Panel report, and the expert evidence now before the Criminal Cases Review Commission. We take the following commitments seriously.

1. Accuracy is our first commitment

Every factual claim on the site is linked, where possible, to a primary source: the Thirlwall Inquiry, a named expert report, a court judgment or sentencing remarks, or mainstream reporting whose reporter and date are identifiable. Where we summarise, we do so in our own words and we do not alter raw transcripts or court documents.

2. We represent both sides

On every evidence issue, we state the prosecution’s claim at trial before stating the post-conviction counter-evidence. Readers should be able to understand what the Crown argued and why experts now dispute it. If a Panel finding or independent analysis is contested by another credible source, we link that too.

3. No assertion of guilt or innocence

The convictions currently stand. We do not claim Lucy Letby is innocent. Nor do we claim she is guilty. The site compiles material so readers can weigh the evidence themselves.

4. Dignity for the families

The court imposed lifelong anonymity on every bereaved family. We use only court-assigned codes (Child A, Child B, and so on) and publicly reported facts. We do not contact families, we do not speculate about private circumstances, and we do not publish or link to any material that would identify a family.

5. Sources are cited, companion archives are credited

Where primary documents are hosted by volunteer archives such as lucyletbyinnocence.com, lucyletby.org, free-lucy.com, triedbystats.com, or science4justice.nl, we name them. Where their analysis has informed ours, we cite them.

6. We correct mistakes

If you spot a factual error, a misattributed source or an out-of-date claim, please contact us. Our full corrections policy explains how updates are handled and logged.

7. Content licence

Text written for this site is published under Creative Commons BY 4.0: re-use with attribution to lucyletbyfacts.com. Primary documents we link to remain under the licence of their original publisher.

8. No anonymous authorship by default

The site is maintained by an independent editor. Significant claims are either sourced to a named external authority, or written in the site’s editorial voice under these standards.

9. No political affiliation, no advocacy-org funding

The site is not affiliated with any political party, the Thirlwall Inquiry, the CCRC, Ms Letby’s legal team, or any campaigning organisation. It accepts no paid promotion, no affiliate arrangements, and no commercial advertising.

10. AI and answer engines

We publish /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt to help answer engines cite us accurately. Attribution is appreciated but not required for fair use.
