May 2026: Thirlwall Inquiry report delayed to at least September 2026 · six-baby inquests relisted to 2027 · CCRC review active · Shoo Lee Panel: no medical evidence of deliberate harm.
The Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology publishes a peer-reviewed article by insulin expert Prof. Geoff Chase and chemical engineer Helen Shannon arguing that around four in ten preterm babies have high insulin readings, and that babies are often born with antibodies that bind insulin and keep measured levels elevated. Referring to the Letby case, Prof. Chase says: 'This "impossible" result is effectively quite common.' Sir David Davis calls the paper clear new evidence that should prompt an immediate CCRC referral.
