No fatal outcome — no post-mortem (surviving with severe disabilities). Clinical records document the extreme prematurity context (~23 weeks gestation) and the extended NICU course. The severe disabilities documented are consistent with the expected natural outcome distribution for infants born at this gestational age; grade III-IV intraventricular haemorrhage (IVH) and periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) are both common sequelae of 23-week prematurity and are documented causes of severe long-term disability.
